CrossFit and CrossFit Kids Training Info

Interested in getting started on your own journey to looking better, feeling better, being stronger and overall happier and healthier?

I am a full time Coach and Trainer at CrossFit Tri-Cities in St. Charles, IL. I currently hold my NASM-CPT as well as my CrossFit Level 1, Kettlebell, Nutrition, Movement & Recovery and CrossFit Kids Certifications. I have 3+ years of coaching and training experience and for me this isn't a hobby, it's a career and a lifestyle. I believe in looking at all aspects of my clients' lives to better their health and wellness. Besides just the time in the gym I focus on nutrition and lifestyle with my clients. Everything from job related issues, sleep, physical activity (or lack of) and more is looked at to ensure that clients get the best possible plan to achieve results. I will never be the trainer to "guarantee" results because you get back what you put in. The amount of effort ultimately falls on the client, but I will help give you the roadmap and the motivation to get you where you want to be.

LSD Trippin...

Gettin Inverted!

So today I managed to be productive in all sorts of ways but still feel lazy...so I ran. First Long Slow Distance experience of 2010, a 5K. I'm not a fast runner by any means, but I still got through the entire thing with what felt like really solid form.

WOD:
5K Run (actually about 3.3 miles)
25:59
(At about 3.3 miles this averages out to almost dead on a 8 min mile pace, not fast, but still solid when you consider I haven't run this far in at least 9 months.)

In preparation for the Paleo Challenge I'm ramping up my compliance to Paleo living. Not like I was ever very far off, but the diet pop and gluten free yet un-paleo stuff has to go. Here's how I did today...

Breakfast:
2 Egg Scramble w/ Onions, Peppers & Garlic
3 Pieces of Turkey Bacon
Spoonful of Sunbutter
Banana & a few Strawberries

Lunch:
Chipotle Burrito Bol...Paleo Style
Chicken & Steak
Fajita Veggies
Guac
Mild & Hot Salsa
Lettuce

Snack:
Turkey Pepperoni
Macadamia Nuts
Gluten Free Crackers (not Paleo, but at least they're gluten free)

Post Workout Snack:
1 Piece of Tilapia
4 Macadamia Nuts
Spoonful of Sunbutter
3 Clementines
5 Strawberries

Dinner:
Chicken Breast
Asparagus
Spinach Salad w/ Almond Slivers, Carrots & Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette
2 Clementines

...there may be a snack a little later, but it's sure to be Paleo-tastic!

Not bad for a start...just need to finish the few Gluten Free yet un-paleo things I have around the house and I'll be all good for the 8 week challenge!
